John Prine Songwriter Fellowship Residency in Collaboration with Newport Folk Festival.
The fellowship was created in partnership with John’s family to celebrate John’s life and the impact he had on the Newport Folk Festival community.
Each year, NFF, together with John's family and AAC, selects one young songwriter who embodies John’s spirit and provides them with their first slot at the Newport Folk Festival. In addition to playing at the Festival, they are given a one-week residency at Almanack Arts Colony as part of their Fellowship.
